Product

The APT (acoustic pulse therapy) device produces a low-pressure acoustic pulse that treats many disorders. APT is very effective for treating very large treatment volumes - more than 50 mm diameter and more than 250 mm penetration depth. Dispersion of pressure over a large area allows fast and painless procedures, without the need for an imaging system and analgesic means.

APT is also called acoustic wave (AWT) or shock wave (SW OR ESWT).

Therapeutic area

Large treatment zone

Large effective zone covers the treated tissue in one placement

Clinical Applications

Adapted for low intensity shock wave applications,  promotes tissue rehabilitation and angiogenesis

Penetration

Deep Penetration, up to 30cm

Compact

Compact, handheld device activated by a high-pressure air source

Treatment time

Short treatment time

Biological effect

 Cellular Mechano-Transduction

Mechano-transduction refers to the processes through which cells sense and respond to mechanical stimuli by converting them to biochemical signals that elicit specific cellular responses.

Acoustic waves propagate truth the tissue with 1500m/sec and distance between the positive pressure and negative pressure fronts 0.15mm, very close for cell’s size (up to 0.1mm). Pressure differences stimulate the cell and triggering biologic chain reaction. According to the publications the optimal energy is 0.09 mJoule/ mm². Energy is derived from the positive and negative part of the pulse pressure with positive pics in the scale of 10 Mpa.(±5Mpa)

Growth factors release

Cell’s stimulation caused by acoustic wave triggering biological stimulus.  Cell’s receptors increasing release of angiogenic growth factors (e.g. VEGF, PlGF, FGF) is followed by significant angiogenesis.

Angiogenesis

Angiogenesis is the physiological process through which new blood vessels form from pre-existing vessels, formed in the earlier stage of vasculogenesis

Anti-inflammatory effect

In clinical practice, as APT stimulation can positively influence the interplayed chain of biological reactions that, through controlled inflammation lead tissue regeneration and “reset” local metabolism, new horizons and insights seem to be opening, in view of counteracting many acquired pathological conditions.

 Increasing of blood flow

All publications related ischemia, diabetic wound healing, anti-inflammation processes, claims that shock wave treatment increase local blood flow, Some of publications show improvement of 40% of blood flow after APT treatment.

Other effects

Triggering immune system, Increase of collagen production,  tissue regeneration and rehabilitation, bones and nerves regeneration, wound healing.

APT advantages:

Designed for a variety of all treatments

 Highly effective

 Non-invasive

 Quick and painless

 Patented technology
